Dr. Thomas Smith is an Associate Research Fellow in the group of Professor Maria Forsyth at Deakin University, where his work focuses on characterising battery materials.
Previously, Thomas completed his PhD under the supervision of Professor Dame Clare Grey at the University of Cambridge (UK), where he studied carbon anodes for sodium ion batteries. Prior to this, he graduated with first class honours from the University of Bristol (UK) with an MSci in Chemistry with Industrial Experience, where he spent a year working for Johnson Matthey.
