Prior to his PhD, Ramtin completed his master’s degree at Shiraz University, Iran. This research project was about the preparation and characterization of materials used as photoanode in photoelectrochemical water splitting cells. After graduation, Ramtin contributed to other research which focused on the synthesis and characterization of anodes in lithium-ion batteries.
Ramtin’s research interests in clean energy production and storage led to starting his PhD on batteries at Deakin University in 2023. His research project is about the investigation of advanced cathodes for Na ion batteries under supervision of Prof. Maria Forsyth, Prof. Patrick Howlett from Deakin University, and Dr. Matt Boot-Handford from industry partner Calix Limited.
