Justine Walter

Justine Walter was awarded a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Melbourne in 1996. She then took up a post doctoral position at the University of Birmingham in the UK before returning to Melbourne to join CSIRO as a research scientist for 2 years.

In 2000, Justine joined IDT Australia as an R&D chemist working on the development and scale-up of new active pharmaceutical ingredients. She later assumed more responsibility by taking on the role of project leader. This role involved overseeing the R&D, analytical validation, business development, cGMP manufacture and regulatory compliance for projects with global pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology companies in the US, UK and Australia.

In 2014 she joined Boron Molecular, where she is currently operations manager. At Boron Molecular, Justine is able to draw on her experience as a process chemist to solve technical and analytical problems in order to meet customer’s deadlines and quality requirements. Boron Molecular is a fine chemical and niche manufacturer for customers in the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, electronics (high purity OLED materials), polymers (including RAFT agents and monomers) and energy storage materials.
