Before starting his PhD, Meisam carried out a master’s research project which focused on corrosion science, investigating different coating techniques on human body implants. Alongside the advanced electrochemical techniques he acquired during his masters, Meisam’s interests toward green energy led him starting a PhD at Deakin University in 2018 studying Li-metal batteries, as a future energy storage device.
Meisam research investigates the degradation mechanism in advanced lithium metal batteries under supervision of Professors Patrick Howlett and Maria Forsyth.
Outside of the lab Meisam enjoys lifting weights, any kind of sport, outdoor activities and playing video games.
