Dr Ajit Kumar is an Associate Research Fellow at Deakin University, working in Professor Maria Forsyth’s group on the development of lithium and sodium batteries. He earned his Master’s in Materials Science and Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 2011 and served as a lecturer at RGUKT IT until 2015. Dr Kumar completed his PhD at IIT Bombay and Monash University, focusing on room-temperature sodium-sulfur batteries. In 2021, he joined Professor Sagar Mitra’s group at IIT Bombay as a Postdoctoral Fellow, where he continued his research on next-generation Li-ion and Na-ion batteries.
