Bodie completed an undergraduate with honors degree in physics and mathematics (2015-2019) at UniSA before moving to a contract R&D position in industry for a recently commercialized health & fitness device.
He started his PhD in 2020 which focuses on understanding energy storage device performance used within remote applications (environmental locations that are not easily accessed by human traffic, such as agriculture).
TrainingThe Centre will provide skills and training in advanced manufacturing across the energy storage supply chain – from materials through to devices and into integrated commercial products – to facilitate the next-generation of energy storage technologies.
ResearchWorking with the industry partners, researchers will design and manufacture new energy storage devices and components, including advanced Li ion, supercapacitors and solid state Li and Na batteries, with improved rate capability, capacity and safety.
IndustryIn close collaboration with industry, the centre will build value across the sector, from developing supply chains, new devices and technologies to integrating and embedding these technologies with end-users.
