Binayak Roy
Research Fellow, School of Chemistry, Monash University
Binayak finished his PhD degree in 2019 from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay in India. The research topic of his PhD was to understand and improve the hydrogenation and dehydrogenation of complex borane compounds for their application as reversible hydrogen storage materials.
As a part of StorEnergy, Binayak is continuing in his passion to find new materials for energy storage applications. At Monash University, he is working on developing novel electrolytes to address the challenges of next generation high voltage (5 V) lithium batteries.
Binayak enjoys playing tennis and chess. On rainy days, he plays his own tune in harmonica and enjoys reading mystery novels.
